Job summary

Misfits Market is seeking a Certified Trainer to support our hourly operations training in Northlake, IL. This position will coordinate onboarding, deliver on-the-floor training, and ensure new hires understand our standards and procedures.

You will work with department managers, update training materials, and maintain training records while contributing to a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. HS diploma preferred; bilingual English/Spanish desirable.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent desirable.
• Experience training peers or groups desirable.
• Experience facilitating training or presentations to groups of students (5+ people) desirable.
• Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) desirable.
• Must be self-motivated, highly detail-oriented and organized.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• High Influencing.
• Willing to work overtime and possible weekends as needed.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environment; Experience in fast paced environment.
• Strong relationship building skills.

Responsibilities

• Reports to their department manager, while assisting with training in their home department when needed.
• Conduct departmental on-the-floor training and cross-training for all hourly associates utilizing approved training materials.
• Evaluate performance and make recommendations on performance in line with training material.
• Ensure all required training documentation is completed properly and in a timely manner.
• Act as a friendly point-of-contact to support any new hires
• Collaborate on identifying necessary training material updates or opportunities.
• Maintains a high level of availability in carrying out training needs on a day to day basis.

How you’ll support our operations:

We are seeking an organized individual who wants to grow their career at Misfits Market as a Certified Trainer. This role will support the functional training of new hires, evaluate the initial performance capabilities of trainees, provide peer coaching, and assist in other onboarding activities as needed.
