Pay: $24.19/hour - Union

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Location: Sylmar, CA

Responsibilities

• Empty collected material from containers; cut open bags, dump payloads, and empty roll-arounds
• Load trucks with shred materials
• Sort material by grade; separate and discard rubbish
• Prepare containers for recycling or disposal
• Collaborate with team members
• Perform emergency equipment repairs
• Clean facility and containers
• Maintain security of material and trucks
• Load and unload trailers as necessary
• Ensure safe machine operations
• Perform physical tasks independently
• Assist with office duties as requested

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds
• Ability to push carts and pull containers
• Ability to follow directions
• Ability to operate machinery safely
• Teamwork skills
• Experience in machine maintenance preferred
• Experience in shredding, recycling, or warehousing preferred
• Forklift and Bobcat experience preferred
