Job summary

Betacom Inc. in Nashville, TN is seeking a Warehouse Technician to handle receiving, storage, and shipping of equipment and materials.

You will record inventory, prepare orders for shipping, and keep warehouses organized while supporting field crews and other Betacom locations. Candidates should have forklift experience, a valid CDL is a plus, and at least one year of warehouse operations experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse operations experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; reliable transportation.
  • Class A or B CDL license preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack; forklift certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Loads and/or unloads equipment/materials while it is being received or when it is being shipped.
  • Record materials and/or equipment entering and leaving the warehouse. Confirm that orders are accurate.
  • Submit material order form to Warehouse Manager on an assigned periodic basis to keep stock at pre-determined levels.
  • Submit warehouse order (paper towels, toiletries, soaps, etc.) form to Warehouse Manager on an assigned periodic basis to keep warehouse supply stock up to pre-determined levels.
  • Keep warehouse, yard, parking lot and surrounding area clear of trash and debris.
  • As required, pick up equipment/materials from customer locations.
  • Ensure spares and/or bad customer components are tagged properly and returned to customer within required timeframe.
  • As required, pick up/deliver equipment/materials to other Betacom warehouse locations.
  • Ensure that yard dumpsters are unloaded and brought back to property in a timely manner.
  • Ensure field crews have material ready for their scheduled assignments.
  • Assist with product assembly, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $18.00 To $23.00 Hourly

OVERVIEW:

Warehouse Technician is responsible for receiving, shipping, storing, and tracking equipment/materials kept in Betacom Warehouses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Loads and/or unloads equipment/materials while it is being received or when it is beingshipped.
  • Record materials and/or equipment entering and leaving the warehouse. Confirm that ordersare accurate.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Working knowledge of basic hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanicalequipment
  • Self-motivated and able to learnquickly.
  • Capable of operating forklift and hand operated pallet jack. Able to obtain forklift certification within90 days ofemployment.
  • Must have good record-keeping skills and be detailoriented.
  • Good oral and written communicationskills.
  • Ability to drive Box Truck and 3/4 ton truck pulling a flatbed trailer.
  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse operations experience.
  • Clean Driving Record & Valid Driver's License (a must) and reliable transportation to and fromwork.
  • Class A or B CDL license (preferred)
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High Scholl Diploma or equivalent (GED) or equivalent combination of education andexperience
