Warehouse Technician (Mon-Fri 11am-7:30pm)

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Technician processes orders, prepares items for shipment, receives incoming inventory, and maintains warehouse cleanliness and organization. Responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting returned equipment, stocking inventory, assisting with equipment assembly, and supporting delivery logistics. The technician must adhere to HIPAA confidentiality standards and may be assigned additional operational tasks as needed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Perform data entry, update shipping information, and track orders.
  • Handle clerical tasks such as faxing, scanning, filing, and phone calls.
  • Prepare shipping containers and create labels.
  • Assemble outgoing merchandise based on customer lists and verify contents against invoices.
  • Receive shipments, process packing slips, and store items securely.
  • Document returned items and clean equipment per protocols.
  • Follow PPE, infection control, and hazardous materials procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse and dispose of waste properly.
  • Assist with inventory stocking, tracking, and replenishment.
  • Deliver packages within the warehouse and to shipping areas.
  • Develop knowledge of HME products and services.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Complete required compliance and educational training.
  • Report stock shortages or outages promptly to management.
  • Participate in on-call duties outside regular hours as per policy.
  • Monitor expiration dates and manage inventory accordingly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Related experience in construction, manual labor, military, or equipment maintenance is preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Work may involve long periods of sitting or driving, exposure to unsanitary conditions, high-crime areas, hazardous materials, loud noises, and extreme temperatures.
  • Must be able to drive independently and travel as required.
  • Steel-toed footwear is mandatory.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with empathy, respect, and confidentiality.
