Job summary

Betacom in Indian Trails, NC is seeking a Warehouse Technician to handle receiving, shipping, storing, and tracking equipment in Betacom warehouses. The role includes driving a box truck, operating a forklift, and ensuring accurate inventory and orders.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of warehouse experience, a clean driving record, and a valid license, with strong attention to detail and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of basic hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanicalequipment.
• Good computer skills (Word, Excel,Outlook)
• Great Plains experience(Preferred)
• Self-motivated and able to learnquickly
• Capable of operating forklift and hand operated pallet jack.
• Able to obtain forklift certification within90 days ofemployment.
• Must have good record-keeping skills and be detailoriented.
• Good oral and written communicationskills.
• Ability to drive BoxTruck.
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse operations experience.
• Clean Driving Record & Valid Driver's License (a must) and reliable transportation to and from work.
• Class A or B CDL license (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Loads and/or unloads equipment/materials while it is being received or when it is being shipped.
• Record materials and/or equipment entering and leaving the warehouse.
• Confirm that orders are accurate.
• Submit material order form to Warehouse Manager on an assigned periodic basis to keep stock at pre-determined levels.
• Submit warehouse order (paper towels, toiletries, soaps, etc.) form to Warehouse Manager on an assigned periodic basis to keep warehouse supply stock up to pre-determined levels.
• Keep warehouse, yard, parking lot and surrounding area is clear of trash and debris.
• As required, pick up equipment/materials from customer locations.
• Ensure spares and/or bad customer components are tagged properly and returned to customer within required timeframe.
• As required, pick up/deliver equipment/materials to other Betacom warehouse locations.
• Ensure that yard dumpsters are unloaded and brought back to property in a timely manner.
• Ensure field crews have material ready for their scheduled assignments.
• Assist with product assembly, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

About this position

Note: Driving Requirement - experience driving a 3/4 ton truck pulling a flat bed trailer and experience driving a box truck picking up / deliver equipment.

Overview

Warehouse Technician is responsible for receiving, shipping, storing, and tracking equipment/materials kept in Betacom Warehouses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Physical Demands

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions and is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
