Job summary

All Energy Solar is seeking a part-time Warehouse Technician to join our Aurora, IL team. You will support the Materials Supervisor and Director of Materials to maintain seamless, effective warehouse operations.

Responsibilities include forklift operation, RF scanning, and kit assembly, with coordination for deliveries and occasional off-hours arrivals. About 20 hours weekly, M-W-F, flexible hours, OT eligible.

Qualifications

• Part-time, non-exempt hourly role with flexible schedule.
• Ability to operate forklifts and use RF scanning for inventory.
• Residency/commuting to Aurora, IL required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• DOT Medical certification requirements must be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and effectively.
• Receive, move, and track items using RF Smart scanning to ensure accurate inventory levels.
• Execute kit assembly and kitting tasks with efficiency and safety.
• Coordinate with delivery drivers and assist with shipments.
• Transport materials to job sites as needed.
• Maintain facility security and safety, completing lockdown protocols.
• Support camera and security adjustments under the Director of Materials.
• Remove warehouse and project debris from shop interiors and grounds.
• Assist with fleet maintenance and support.
• Maintain active communication with Warehouse Supervisor and team.

This is a part-time non-exempt hourly (over time eligible) position with an expected base pay rate of $18.00-$21.00/hour (depending on qualifications and experience).

Description

All Energy Solar is looking for a part-time Warehouse Technician to join our team for roughly 20 hours a week. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Materials Supervisor and the Director of Materials to maintain seamless, effective warehouse operations.

Schedule & Hours: Workdays are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with flexible shift hours. Candidates must be available at least 3 days per week within a reasonable timeframe - primarily during regular business hours to handle incoming shipments and deliveries.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions

• Operate forklifts safely and effectively.
• Receive, move, and track items using the RF Smart scanning system to ensure accurate inventory levels.
• Execute kit assembly and kitting tasks with efficiency and safety.
• Coordinate with delivery drivers and assist with receiving shipments, including periodic off-hours arrivals.
• Transport materials to job sites as needed.
• Maintain facility security and safety, completing and upholding lockdown protocols.
• Support camera and security adjustments under the direction of the Director of Materials.
• Remove warehouse and project debris from both shop interiors and building grounds.
• Assist with company fleet maintenance and support.
• Maintain active communication with the Warehouse Supervisor and team regarding deliveries, stock, and operational needs.

Skills/Qualifications

• Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and maintains a positive, helpful attitude.
• Capable of working effectively both independently with minimal oversight and as a collaborative team member.
• Proficient with computers, including email applications and spreadsheet software.
• Comfortable learning and utilizing RF scanning technology and warehouse inventory management systems (prior inventory experience is preferred).
• At ease climbing ladders as needed.
• Resides within a reasonable commuting distance of the facility in Aurora, Illinois.
• Possesses a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable personal transportation.
• Able to pass an MVR (motor vehicle report) background check to operate company vehicles and/or trailers for business tasks.
• Obtains, maintains, and fulfills all requirements for DOT Medical certification.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and lifting (frequent).
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer (frequent).
• Must be able to lift and move up to 75 lbs. at a time (frequent).
• Ability to type at least 30 words per minute (frequent).
• Willing to occasionally work extended hours in extreme environments/climate (cold, heat, wind, etc.).

Compensation

• This is a part-time non-exempt hourly (over time eligible) position with an expected base pay rate of $18.00-$21.00/hour (depending on qualifications and experience).
• Onsite In-Person: This position is located at the Aurora, IL Warehouse facility.
• Schedule: M-W-F, Hours can be flexible. The part-time position requires a minimum of 3 days of availability per week. Availability must fall within a reasonable window to support receiving deliveries, primarily during standard business hours.
