Job summary

The Planet Group in Jeannette, PA is seeking a Warehouse Technician to operate and maintain shredding/grinding/cleaning machinery and support daily plant operations.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, ability to lift 50 pounds, and a strong safety mindset. Prior manufacturing or forklift experience is a plus; weekend shifts are involved.

Responsibilities

• Ability to learn to operate, maintain and set up different types of shredding/grinding/cleaning machines.
• Resolve issues related to day-to-day operations and maintenance.
• Calibrate probes and monitor pH of processed waste.
• Read and understand work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Clear jams and clean the machine daily with the maintenance team.
• Monitor machine performance/condition and notify maintenance of issues.
• Understand OSHA regulations and health and safety practices.
• Respect and build working relationships with co-workers.
• Demonstrate creativity and ability to solve unique problems.
• Daily cleaning of work area and tools.
• Load/unload trailers.
• Wear all required PPE.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Preferred Requirements:

• Previousmanufacturing experience
• Previousforklift experience

• Manufacturing environment where hearing protection, safety glasses and steel toed boots arerequired.
• Large facility with approximately100,000 square feetof ground to cover.
• Seasonal variation in temperature and weather conditions.
• Frequent radio communication with operators and managers.
• Teamwork-centered atmosphere with over 100 employees.
