The Opportunity As a Warehouse Technician, you will support warehouse and equipment operations that enable field service activities. The role includes receiving and inspecting goods, verifying shipments, gathering and packing materials for shipment, maintaining records of received and shipped items, supporting vehicle and equipment upkeep, maintaining calibration of test equipment, coordinating repairs, and helping ensure daily operational activities are completed. You will address operational issues that may be difficult but are typically not complex while helping ensure established policies, practices, and procedures are followed. By maintaining organized equipment, supporting emergency field service needs, and helping keep critical tools and assets ready for use, you contribute to reliable power system service operations and the continued use of field technologies that support the electrical grid.
Receive and inspect goods and verify items against shipment records. Gather, verify, and pack items for shipment based on specifications and transportation requirements. Record received and shipped items. Maintain oil processing trailers, including maintenance and repairs. Manage vehicle maintenance, registration, and insurance activities. Maintain calibration of test equipment and coordinate repairs for equipment and dry air machines. Support day-to-day operational activities and help ensure policies and procedures are followed. Maintain company equipment in an organized 5S manner. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States. Associate degree and 2 years’ experience, or High School diploma and 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing/service warehouse environment. 2 years’ experience with an Associate degree, or 5 years’ experience with a High School diploma. Previous warehousing and/or shipping experience preferred. Ability to operate a forklift effectively. Proficient computer skills. Experience in SAP is highly recommended.
