Job description

Your Role at Cabot

Cabot has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Technician responsible for activities such as packing carbon black, loading/unloading railcars, and handling pallets. The technician will operate equipment like bag packers, IBC loaders, and robots, adhering to quality and safety standards.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Pack carbon black into bags following work instructions
• Use forklifts to move loads and materials
• Operate mules to move freight trailers on the yard
• Load finished products into trucks per customer instructions
• Load railcars and IBCs with bulk loading equipment
• Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance on machinery
• Report equipment issues to the foreman
• Complete necessary paperwork
• Follow safety procedures and participate in safety meetings
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Support the implementation of the Responsible Care Management System as applicable
• Must be able to operate Yard Mule and Track Mobile

What You Will Bring to Cabot

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of industrial experience
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents
• Apply common sense to follow instructions
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds frequently, and 100 pounds occasionally
• Physical capability to stand, walk, handle objects, climb, and crouch
• Ability to drive a forklift
• Good computer skills
• Willingness to work different shifts and overtime
• Ability to wear a respirator if necessary
• Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Team player and self-motivated
