Your Role at Cabot
Cabot has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Technician responsible for activities such as packing carbon black, loading/unloading railcars, and handling pallets. The technician will operate equipment like bag packers, IBC loaders, and robots, adhering to quality and safety standards.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Pack carbon black into bags following work instructions
- Use forklifts to move loads and materials
- Operate mules to move freight trailers on the yard
- Load finished products into trucks per customer instructions
- Load railcars and IBCs with bulk loading equipment
- Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance on machinery
- Report equipment issues to the foreman
- Complete necessary paperwork
- Follow safety procedures and participate in safety meetings
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Support the implementation of the Responsible Care Management System as applicable
- Must be able to operate Yard Mule and Track Mobile
What You Will Bring to Cabot
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of industrial experience
- Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents
- Apply common sense to follow instructions
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds frequently, and 100 pounds occasionally
- Physical capability to stand, walk, handle objects, climb, and crouch
- Ability to drive a forklift
- Good computer skills
- Willingness to work different shifts and overtime
- Ability to wear a respirator if necessary
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Team player and self-motivated
