Smithville Communications is looking for an organized individual to join our Warehouse team! Reporting to the Manager of Telecom Operations, the Warehouse Technician supports daily warehouse operations to ensure technicians have the materials and equipment needed to serve customers. This role is responsible for receiving and storing inventory, fulfilling supply requests, maintaining inventory records, conducting cycle counts, and operating warehouse equipment. The position also helps forecast inventory needs, order supplies, and stage materials to support efficient field operations.
You will regularly use a computer, phone, and forklift to support daily warehouse operations. A meaningful part of this role involves planning and scheduling — forecasting needs, ordering supplies, and staging materials so field technicians can depart on time without interruption.
Success in this role requires strong organization, attention to detail, sound judgment, and collaboration with internal teams, technicians, and vendors.

Some tasks may take place above ground level on ladders, rooftops, bucket trucks, or scaffolding.
The standard schedule is 40 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime, evening, or weekend hours to meet critical deadlines or respond to operational needs.
This role requires continuous use of fine motor skills and close vision. You can expect frequent walking, climbing of stairs and ladders, reaching at and above shoulder level, lifting up to 30 pounds, as well as regular talking and hearing. Occasional duties may involve sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, twisting, pulling, and lifting over 50 pounds.
