Job summary

Parkland Corporation is seeking a Warehouse Technician to manage inventory, verify orders, and handle incoming/outgoing freight. The role includes lifting heavy barrels, operating forklift equipment, and maintaining accurate records in a dynamic warehouse environment.

Work is conducted indoors and outdoors, with certification requirements for forklift and a DOT medical card. Competitive hourly pay, with benefits aligned to standard Parkland programs.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to acquire DOT Medical Card prior to starting.
  • Must be able to obtain Forklift certification within 3 months.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operates warehouse equipment (forklift, hand trucks, pallet jacks) to move large items.
  • Ensures customer orders are correct and assists customers professionally.
  • Maintains relationship with drivers and customers to meet needs.
  • Lifts, pushes, pulls, and lowers up to 450 lbs. barrels of lubricants daily.
  • Maintains bulk oil quantities and notes discrepancies.
  • May fill in for city Delivery Driver.

Job description

Salary: $21.00 - $22.00/hour (DOE)

The Opportunity

The Warehouse Technician is responsible for maintaining required inventory levels ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct; verifying stock and identifying losses; maintaining an organized warehouse layout; processing purchase orders; loading outgoing freight; unloading incoming freight; maintaining records; and managing all returns. The position requires work inside as well as outside, including working in inclement weather.

Responsibilities
  • Operates warehouse equipment (e.g. forklift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.) for the purpose of moving large and heavy items safely and effectively.
  • Ensures customer orders are correct and assists customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintains a viable relationship with truck drivers and customers to ensure needs are met at all times.
  • Safely lifts, pushes, pulls, and lowers up to 450 lbs. barrels of lubricants numerous times daily.
  • Maintains quantities of bulk oil and notifies supervisor of any discrepancies.
  • May be required to fill in for city Delivery Driver.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred but not required.
Requirements
  • Ability and willingness to use safety glasses, safety shoes, and ear plugs.
  • 2+ years' experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to acquire DOT Medical Card prior to starting.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Must be able to obtain Forklift certification within 3 months.
  • Physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
