Job summary

Vortex Companies is seeking a Warehouse Technician to support warehouse operations, including order preparation, inventory management, equipment assembly and testing. The role emphasizes safety, a clean workspace, and flexibility to meet varied needs.

You will prep shipments, label materials, test equipment, assist in-house demos, and maintain inventory records with 75 lb lifting. This full-time role may include weekends and overtime as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: GED or high school diploma and satisfactory completion of 3 months on-the-job training.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 75 lbs and prolonged standing.
• Certification: Tow Motor Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare orders for shipping and labels/Bill of Lading as needed.
• Measure, inspect, and label lining materials where applicable.
• Test new equipment and assemble vacuum pumps as part of warehouse duties.
• Maintain inventory records and assist with month-end counts.
• Support in-house demos and testing under supervision.

About The Role

The Warehouse Technician supports warehouse operations through order preparation, inventory management, equipment assembly, and product testing assistance. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, maintaining a clean workspace, and flexibility to support various operational needs.

What You'll Do

• Prep orders for shipping including Labels and Bill of Lading when necessary.
• Measure, Inspect and label Lining Materials
• Test New Equipment
• Assemble Vacuum Pumps
• Verifying incoming shipments and report to Supervisor any shortages.
• Responsible for month end inventory count as well as Inventory Spreadsheet
• Assist Technical Manager in house demos/testing.
• Re-package chemicals to smaller containers, using safety precautions described in the SDS sheets.
• Work in a safe manner at all times by following the company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean work environment by performing cleaning duties when required.
• Complete assigned duties.
• Perform other related duties incidental to work described herein.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• GED/High School Diploma.
• Satisfactorily complete 3 months on-the-job training.

Licensure/Certification

• Tow Motor Certification

Typical Physical Demands

• Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day, including prolonged standing or sitting. Some bending, stooping, stretching, and twisting is required.
• Requires full range of motion including eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Able to wear required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working as required by the job.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday and could include weekends, evenings and/or holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.
