Requirements
Job Purpose: This position will follow general warehouse processes and practices to ensure our clients are provided with the best service we can provide.
Special Conditions or Certifications of Employment:
- Valid Nevada driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- Pre-employment Background Check Required
- Pre-employment Drug Screen Required (marijuana included)
- Ability / eligibility to be covered under the food bank’s vehicle insurance policy
Required Education And Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Possession of at a minimum a State of Nevada Class C Driver’s license, proof of insurance and excellent driving record.
- Customer service or relationship management experience.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Ability to operate an electric pallet jack, fork truck, reach truck, as well as a manual pallet jack.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn RFID technology/scan guns is necessary.
Essential Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
- Picking and Packing
- Responsible for safe operation of equipment
- Loading and unloading of trailers
- Basic working knowledge and data entry in current ERP
- Provide excellent customer service to agencies, clients, and internal customers
- Assist in the warehouse requirement of maintaining high levels of sanitation and cleanliness
- Operate order picker and walkie rider
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations including AIB and company policies
- Working in a safe and professional manner
- Inventory Counts
- Proper storage of inventory
- Maintaining of coolers and freezer for cleanliness and up stack of product
- Unload FBNN Drivers upon return and tag leftover product for re-issue next day
- Pulling Orders in Temperatures below 0 F
- Providing Assistance to Special Events
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Ability to work independently.
- Able to take direction well, using active listening skills, asking questions and taking notes if necessary.
- Ability to perform as an effective, positive team member.
- Impeccable ethical business practices.
Travel Local travel to various events may be required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Normal days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Days and hours may vary from normal schedule when program schedule adjusts or other special events arise.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment/ Physical Demands
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee regularly works in a warehouse setting with equipment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods while driving, walk, stand, talk and hear.
- Able to lift 60 pounds.
- Repetitive squatting, bending, balancing, crouching, stooping, lifting and twisting required.
- Work in refrigerated units at temperatures below 30 degrees and as low as -5 degrees.
- Able to work in year round outdoor conditions.
- May be required to push/pull pallets up to 2,000 lbs. with use of electric pallet jack.
- Knowledge and prior application of safe work practices and an attitude of safety awareness.
