Interstate Batteries is seeking a Warehouse Team Member II to maintain a well-stocked, organized warehouse and assist Route Service Managers. The role involves delivering batteries regularly, loading/unloading, restocking, testing and dating batteries, and ensuring safety and accuracy in warehouse reporting.

You may also back up delivery duties as needed, with responsibilities including vehicle operation and payment handling.

Qualifications

• 1 year warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively under pressure.
• Knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing and distribution methods.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and interstate commerce regulations.
• Able to operate motor vehicles and/or forklift.
• Must have a clean driving record and meet driver qualifications requirements.

Responsabilités

• Load and unload batteries.
• Restock batteries.
• Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations.
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries.
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment.
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims.
• Operate a forklift and motor vehicle; run Hot Shots as needed.
• Fill in for NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM as needed.
• Collect and handle payments on account (cash, checks, money orders).
• Collect and return junk and/or used batteries to the warehouse.
• Follow driver program requirements as specified by the manager.

Purpose of Job: The Warehouse Team Member II provides a well -stocked and organized warehouse and assists Route Service Managers. Must be able to deliver batteries on a regular basis.

Job Components:

• Load and unload batteries
• Restock batteries

• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims
• Operate a forklift and motor vehicle Run the Hot Shots on a timely basis as needed
• Fill in for NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM, as needed
• Collect and handle payments on account, which may include cash, checks and money orders
• Collect and return junk and/or used batteries to the warehouse.
• Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager.
• Other duties as requested

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience preferred.
• Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management skills and able to work under pressure
• Knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing, and distribution methods
• Knowledge of state, federal, and interstate commerce regulations
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required
• Understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements
• Ability to operate motor vehicles and/or forklift
• Must have a clean drivers record AND meet driver qualifications requirements

Work Environment:

Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbs Exposed to battery warehouse conditions, such as exposure to moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals Exposed to the hazards of the road when operating or riding in a vehicle Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required
