Interstate Batteries is seeking a Warehouse Team Member II to maintain a well-organized warehouse, load/unload batteries, and assist Route Sales Managers with timely battery delivery. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy in reporting, and weekend coverage when needed.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of warehouse experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate motor vehicles in a fast-paced environment. A valid driver’s license is required.

Purpose of Job

The Warehouse Team Member II provides a well -stocked and organized warehouse and assists Route Sales Managers. Must be able to deliver batteries on a regular basis.

Job Components

• Load and unload batteries

• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries

Scope Data

Frequent independent judgment and decision making. Shared responsibility of inventory valued at $500,000 - $3.0 million. Shared responsibility for the process flow of 1.0 - 13.0 million pieces shipped per year out of the warehouse.

Work Environment

Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk. Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 70+ lbs. Exposed to battery warehouse conditions, such as exposure to moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.
