Job summary

Interstate Batteries in Stockton, CA is seeking a warehouse associate to efficiently process transactions using RF scan devices and forklifts, and to support inventory flow. You will handle receiving, transfer, pick, pack, and ship, and tag pallets for transfer and shipping.

Responsibilities include general warehouse duties, restocking, and maintaining high accuracy with a strong team mindset. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with strong basic math skills.
• Minimum ½ year of warehouse operations experience with RF/HH equipment.
• Experience with forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and stretch-wrap is preferred.
• Ability to learn computer systems and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process receiving, transfer, pick, pack, and ship transactions.
• Handle products per warehouse standards during receiving and shipping.
• Tag pallets for transfer, pick, and pack operations.
• Perform general warehouse duties including restocking and housekeeping.
• Multi-task and shift between functions as needed.
• Comply with management directions and safety policies.

Purpose of Job:

Ability to accurately and efficiently complete assigned distribution center tasks using a variety of equipment including RF barcode scanning devices, material handling equipment - electric and manual pallet jacks, stand-up and sit-down forklifts, WMS applications, and other shipping applications.

Job Components:

• Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Handling of product per the warehouse distributor standards (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Properly tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• General warehousing duties (such as restocking shelves and housekeeping of assigned areas)
• Ability to multi-task and/or quickly transition from one function/task to the next function/task
• Other warehouse duties as assigned by warehouse distributor management

Qualifications:

• High school graduate and strong basic math skills
• Minimum ½ year experience in warehouse operations - including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack and stretch-wrap machine preferably in warehouse environment
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Sense of urgency and well organized
• Cooperative team like attitude

Work Environment:

• Warehouse distributor environment may be subject to temperature extremes, dust, fumes and battery acid
• Heavy lifting up to 100 lbs
• Repetitive lifting
• Consistent walking
• Standing or walking for two-hour intervals
• Repetitive taping of boxes
• Overtime required as deemed necessary
