Job description

The Finished Goods Warehouse Worker plays a crucial role in managing the storage, shipping, and receiving of quartz and natural stone products. This position ensures that products are accurately processed, stored, and shipped in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Warehouse Operations: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards and proper labeling. Organize and store finished goods in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and update the inventory management system. Perform regular inventory counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies as needed.
  • Shipping: Prepare finished goods for shipment by transporting and staging crates and slabs to appropriate areas. Coordinate with the fabrication and sale department to schedule and track outgoing shipments, ensuring timely delivery to customers. Verify shipping documents and ensure that all items are correctly documented and packed.
  • Receiving: Oversee the receiving process for incoming materials and products, ensuring they are correctly delivered. Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies and report issues to the appropriate personnel. Ensure that records and appropriate documentation are sufficient and done correctly.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform pre-operation checks, safety inspections, and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Ensure that equipment is in their designated areas. Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of warehouse equipment and work areas.
  • Safety Compliance: Safety is a condition of employment. Follow safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Experience in warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving, preferably in the quartz or natural stone industry are preferred.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Knowledge of inventory management systems and basic computer skills are preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Qualifications:

Valid forklift operator certification or license is preferred. Forklift and overhead crane certification training will be provided as needed. Additional certifications for material handling equipment are a plus. Must have a valid State issued drivers license to operate a forklift.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent are preferred; additional certification or training in warehouse management is a plus.

Physical Job Requirements:

Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials (30-50 lbs.), stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions and exposure to noise.
