Job description
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing an array of duties that keep the warehouse running efficiently. This position requires an individual flexibility to ensure daily warehouse tasks are being completed safely and accurately. They must also be able to work independently and flexibly to complete daily tasks accurately and safely.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Receive all incoming products from vendors
a. Assist with vehicle and truck loading and unloading
b. Log product quantity on dedicated and assigned paperwork
c. Report missing/extra products received to supervisors and other designated personnel
d. Strategically place items in the assigned warehouse locations/shelves
2. Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers, by hand or by use of equipment, powered or otherwise
3. Record number of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets
4. Check the condition, quality, and expiration dates (“wholesomeness”) of items
5. Perform inventory and cycle counts
6. Provide dependable, shift-long coverage of warehouse facilities to ensure order fulfilment operates efficiently for the duration of the shift
7. Operate and maintain computer, mobile workstations, and warehouse equipment in a safe, efficient manner in accordance with safety standards; report any malfunctions, insufficiencies, or necessary repair to a supervisor
8. Keep the warehouse and loading dock areas clean and free of debris
9. Interact with customers, drivers, and other employees politely and professionally
10. Accurately pull and check the correct items according to pulling, loading, and invoicing paperwork
11. Assist with and learn other warehouse duties as necessary
12. Perform other duties as assigned
