The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for managing and supervising the Inventory Controllers, Receivers, Shipping Clerks, and Warehouse Team Members in the metro food production facility.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the daily operations of the warehouse team, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring all targets are met and safety protocols are followed.
- Ensure the warehouse operates safely and complies with USDA, OSHA, and other relevant regulations.
- Utilize ERP and other tools to analyze reports and maintain efficiency.
- Supervise procurement processes, including creating purchase orders and managing inventory.
- Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile expenses monthly.
- Manage purchasing and replenishment of raw materials and monitor stock levels.
- Complete all required documentation for food safety and equipment safety.
- Oversee product inspections to meet quality and safety standards.
- Manage distribution of finished goods to ensure on-time delivery.
- Interview, hire, train, and develop team members to foster a high-performing team.
- Handle team member relations, documentation, and resolve issues.
- Maintain safety and security standards for team members.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards including OSHA, USDA, HACCP, FSMA, FDA, and others.
- Build positive relationships with Store Support teams and operational areas.
- Promote a positive work environment based on teamwork and respect.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years in food production and 1+ year in supervisory role.
- Proven leadership success in food manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, safety, and supply chain management.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn custom applications.
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems and financial statements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to build stakeholder relationships and a passion for food and sustainability.
