Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader in Port Hueneme, CA. The role focuses on efficient cargo movement, coordinating with 3rd party logistics, Sales and Transportation, and ensuring timely delivery to customers.

The ideal candidate will manage loading schedules, maintain strong communication, and contribute to quality and safety programs while supporting continuous improvements in warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field preferred.
• Experience in warehouse operations and distribution is required.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Review loading schedules to ensure timely truck loading.
• Coordinate with 3rd party logistics, Sales and Transportation teams.
• Communicate delivery schedules and provide updates.
• Collaborate with Port Operations on vessel discharge timing.
• Address issues raised by sales, dispatchers, or drivers.
• Support audits and Food Safety objectives as part of QA/QMS.
• Work with logistics teams to meet inbound/outbound needs for on-time delivery.
• Special projects as assigned.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; MS Office proficiency; strong organizational skills.

Purpose of Position:

This position will perform all necessary functions to ensure the efficient movement of cargo to the customer. In this role, will also work closely with third party logistics staff, Sales and Transportation team to review and determine accuracy of delivery of products.

Accountabilities:

• Review appointment schedule to facilitate truck loading in a timely manner.
• Work closely with 3 rd party logistics team, Sales and Transportation team to properly deliver schedule orders in a timely matter.
• Communicate initial delivery schedule and provide updates regularly
• Coordinate with Port Operations Managers regarding vessel discharge schedule in order to determine availability times of cargo.
• Address any problems or concerns that Del Monte Sales personnel, truck dispatchers or divers may have.
• Review turnaround time report to determine issues and use the information to rectify problem areas.
• Assist with internal audits and Food and Safety objectives as necessary to fulfill Quality Management System requirements.
• Collaborate & communicate w/ 3 rd party logistics team on any inbound needs for outbound loads to ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Collaborate with sales, purchasing and management to ensure timely resolution of issues resulting from plan deviations, and any inbound needs for outbound loads to ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Special projects as assigned.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Excellent communication skills (i.e. oral and written).
• Well organized and able to multi-task.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (i.e. oral and written).
• Proficient with numbers and inventory.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work as a team player
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word and Outlook, etc.).

Preferred:

• BS Degree in Logistics or related field
• Deep knowledge of the Logistics/Warehousing Industry with corresponding certifications.
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Advanced analytical skills
• Food Industry Background
• Bilingual in Spanish would also be a plus
