Job summary

S&S Activewear is seeking a Team Lead in Lockport, IL to support the Shipping manager and the shipping team. Ensure procedures and safety practices are followed while guiding employees to complete action plans and meet KPIs.

The role involves supervising orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping processes, training new staff, and maintaining a safe, efficient Distribution Center. Full-time, evenings, $23.43 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to operate a warehouse equipment and machinery.
• Must be comfortable using electronic devices.
• Can lift and carry up to 50lbs on occasion with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Basic math skills, ability to count, add, and subtract numbers quickly and accurately.
• Ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label, and SKU information.
• Must be flexible with start and departure time changing.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.
• Ability to work independently without close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Work and collaborate with leadership team for process improvements and provide support throughout the DC.
• Efficiently monitor customer orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping of products ensuring safety, security, accuracy, and productivity.
• Operate required machinery with specified departments (e.g., cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Follow and commit to meeting KPI for safety, quality, production, and efficiency.
• Report and record any discrepancy, damaged items, shortages, or unidentified packages.
• Maintain required processed/procedure audits.
• Train in customer service duties as required.
• Monitor and train new hires to ensure optimal productivity and quality.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of Distribution Center.
• Follow SOPs and safety rules.
• Be professional and contribute to a safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned and cross-train.
