Job summary

S&S Activewear is seeking a Receiving Lead to directly support the Receiving department. You will ensure procedural compliance, guide team members, and help meet daily goals with safety and accuracy in mind.

You will operate tablets and scanners, manage goods receipt, and coach staff on best practices. The role requires lifting, standing all day, and willingness to train on power equipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand English pick tickets and labels.
• Comfort using tablets/devices for data entry and scans.
• Detail oriented with accurate counting and math skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and operate warehouse equipment safely.
• Willingness to be trained on power equipment (Order Picker, Reach Truck, etc.).
• Adhere to safety procedures and PPE requirements when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Use a tablet and scanner to perform receiving tasks.
• Receive goods based on packing lists and verify accuracy.
• Safely operate all warehouse equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow supervisor directions.
• Reconcile discrepancies and monitor receiving progress for accuracy.
• Provide guidance to the receiving team and support the supervisor.
• Engage in regular safety checks and process improvement initiatives.

The Receiving Lead is to ensure compliance of the procedure, and communicate goals, safety practices, and also provides ongoing guidance and support to the employees as they complete their action plans. Note: PPE is company-provided with a $100 stipend on safety-toe shoes after 90 days of employment if required for your specific role - not all roles require specific PPE. Please check with your HR/Training team for details on if your role requires specific PPE.PHYSICAL DEMANDSIn performing the job of a Receiving Lead, the employee must stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift. Additionally, the position requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching and handling of items up to 50 lbs.
