Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Etna, Ohio, to oversee daily warehouse operations and lead a team in a fast-paced setting. The role requires forklift operation experience, effective communication, and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• One year or more previous warehouse experience preferred.
• One year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required.
• Valid forklift operator's license certified.

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize daily work to ensure optimal shift operations.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved KPI performance.
• Provide orientation and tools to employees for job performance.
• Promote health and safety practices within the warehouse.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose actions to improve operations.
