Job summary

The Lead Warehouse Associate at Cardinal Health supports the Warehouse Supervisor on the floor, directing staff and producing workforce productivity reports. The role may involve communicating with customers about disruptions and delivery updates to ensure satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include training new staff, monitoring safety and quality, coordinating inventory control, and assisting with unloading, picking, packing, and shipping tasks. A flexible schedule is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow up skills.
• 3-5 years warehouse/distribution experience preferred.
• High school diploma or degree preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel knowledge preferred to manage daily active reports.
• Great communication skills.
• Prior knowledge working with a WMS system.
• Previous experience leading a team and sharing feedback with employees.
• Ability to operate warehouse material handling equipment (PIT preferred) and RF equipment.
• Flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Training new employees on company and departmental procedures as appropriate.
• Measuring safety, productivity, and quality standards and ensuring they are met.
• Coordinating housekeeping, inventory control, and complying with all QRA and safety requirements.
• Supporting employees in the distribution center in all functions, including unloading trucks, stocking, order processing, and packing.
• Leading team meetings.
• Solving minor issues.
• Working in production as needed.
