Job summary

Amcor is seeking a warehouse associate to join our team in Pennsylvania. You will load/unload shipments, maintain organization, verify inventory, and support safety and ISO/SQF standards.

The role requires flexibility to cover shifts, strong attention to detail, and ability to work with DcLink/JDE/Excel in-house systems. You will collaborate with department teams and help train new hires.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to understand DcLink, JDE, Excel and any other in-house software programs implemented.
  • Proven decision making and demonstrated respect among peers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong PC and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • PIT Certification required.
  • Good hand-eye coordination is required.
  • Position requires agility and consistent attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holiday and over-time.
  • Good communication skills--verbal and written; ability to effectively communicate.
  • Ability to work independently in a potentially isolated area of the building.
  • Must be able to meet all the above responsibilities to perform the job.

Responsibilities

  • Load/unload shipments, deliveries and production trailers.
  • Maintain warehouse organization and verify inventory for shipments.
  • Monitor and coach employees to ensure tasks are completed.
  • Coordinate and ensure breaks for warehouse associates.
  • Maintain safety, environmental, and department requirements.
  • Review and inspect trailers based on safety and ISO/SQF standards.
  • Understand labeling and packaging processes.
  • Provide feedback to department associates concerning safety and quality.
  • Handle communications between departments to convey materials.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Exemplifies the Amcor Behaviors and Values at all times.

  • Maintain warehouse organization including but not limited to: Making room and organizing locations Cleaning/removing damaged or disorderly product Verifying inventory and searching for lost parts as needed for shipments Taken and score highly on all yearly HR required MyDevelopment Courses Understand that professional conduct is expected at all times MyDevelopment Course – E-Mail Etiquette: Tone and Formatting Have the availability to work any shift and cover for vacations as needed Perform any other required task as directed Load/unload shipments, deliveries and production trailers Approve or reject trailers as needed Continuously monitor and maintain system dunnage levels (slip sheets, wrapper film, empty pallets, etc.) Make and receive calls between departments to facilitate communication and conveyance of materials as needed Coach or redirect team members to ensure tasks are being completed Support training program by monitoring all new hires for their first 60 days MyDevelopment Course: Train the Trainer Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental, and department requirements Monitor and coach employees to make sure that tasks are being completed as expected Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area Coordinate and ensure all warehouse associates get their breaks Knowledgeable in operating stretch wrap/shrink wrap machine Work effectively as a team member, and communicate any immediate concerns to the Warehouse Manager Review and inspect trailers as a final decision based on safety and ISO/SQF standards MyDevelopment Course: Key Principles of ISO 9000 Must have good knowledge of both finished products and raw materials, and will be able to read and understand incoming and outgoing orders. Must understand labeling and packaging processes Provide feedback to department associates concerning their responsibilities to safety and quality Various other duties as assigned.
  • AUTHORITIES Monitor inventory control to maximize warehouse utilization Request missing inventory to be removed by the inventory team Read and send emails to ensure complete communication as needed Understands and will adhere to all ISO & SQF guidelines and policies.
