Job summary

Capstone is seeking a high-energy Warehouse Associate in Indianapolis, 2nd shift 3:30pm-Finish. You will perform pre-shift meetings, stretch, safety observations, and yard marshalling duties while learning all aspects of receiving/unloading and loading operations.

You will work with customer staff and delivery personnel, maintain workflow, and be trained to advance toward management. Capstone emphasizes a high-performance culture and promotes from within.

Qualifications

• Physically capable of lifting 25–75 lbs and performing fast-paced warehouse tasks.
• Willingness to be trained in receiving/unloading and yard marshalling.
• Ability to work with customers' staff and delivery personnel professionally.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-shift meetings and lead stretching exercises.
• Perform safety observations and support management.
• Coach and train team; communicate with leadership.
• Run yard marshalling duties and site operations.
• Move pallets and cases using forklift, pallet jack, or by hand.

The Opportunity:

• This is the next step in an associate's path to management
• You will learn al all aspects of receiving /unloading or loading operations within a warehouse facility, working alone or in teams with minimal supervision
• Work with a high level of direct contact with customer's staff and outside delivery personnel; emphasis is placed on the ability to relate in a positive, friendly manner
• Oversee a specified area within work environment to maintain consistent workflow and meet customer expectations
• Handle the movement of pallets and cases on and off trailers and other vehicles by using a forklift, pallet jack or by hand

Requirements:

• High-energy individual with a strong work ethic, the work is fast paced and very physical
• Lift and carry 25-75lbs, materials handled vary
• Prior warehouse and/or equipment experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate
