Job summary

Cooper Machinery Services is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead in Houston to run daily warehouse operations and support shop production. You will own inventory accuracy, ensure ERP visibility for all materials, and lead a hands-on team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing operations with 3+ years in a leadership position, plus proficiency in SAP and MS Office. On-site work with physical duties is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of operational experience in a manufacturing environment and at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Bachelor's degree or a HS diploma with 5+ years in services/manufacturing.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Comfortable with math in all units and data entry in a computer system.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse operations including facilities, equipment, documentation, safety and health.
• Maintain safe, organized, and accurate warehouse through good housekeeping and layout.
• Ensure material storage and retrieval is visible in ERP.
• Receive, review, and transfer stock to service orders and inventory.
• Support shop production schedule by issuing, completing, and closing orders on time.
• Pull parts to keep inventory stocked in assembly, locate material, and expedite shortages.
• Run cycle counts and maintain stock documentation and shortage reports.
• Tag and label materials and containers, load products onto freight carriers.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, hoists, pallet handlers, and hand trucks safely.
• Build work schedules for warehouse and purchasing team.

What You Will Do

• Lead daily warehouse operations, including facilities, equipment, documentation, and safety and health
• Keep the warehouse safe, organized, and accurate through strong housekeeping and a logical storage layout
• Ensure every material is stored and retrieved systematically and is visible in our ERP
• Receive, review, and transfer stock, and issue and receipt material to service orders and inventory
• Support the shop production schedule by making sure orders are issued, completed, and closed on time
• Pull parts to keep inventory stocked in assembly cells, and locate material and expedite shortages within the plant
• Run cycle counts, and verify and maintain stock documentation and shortage reports
• Tag and label materials and containers, and load products onto freight carriers
• Operate forklifts, cranes, hoists, pallet handlers, and hand trucks safely
• Build work schedules for the warehouse and purchasing team

Who You Are

• You have 5+ years of operational experience in a manufacturing environment and at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role
• You have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of experience in services or manufacturing
• You're proficient in SAP and Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
• You're comfortable with math in all units of measure (whole numbers, fractions, and decimals) and with using a computer daily to look up and enter material and parts data
• You put the customer first when setting quality standards and priorities
• You can lift up to 45 lbs regularly, and you're ready for active physical work: pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, and bending
• You're comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and chemicals, wearing safety glasses, safety shoes, and ear plugs.

Preferred

• Hands‑on experience operating a forklift, hand truck, and other shipping‑department equipment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• A self‑motivated approach and the ability to work with minimal supervision
