Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Team Coordinator assists the supervisor in the operation of an area of a department so that the Supervisor may increase focus on the people in the area and not be as involved in daily specific workflow issues. The Team Coordinator is primarily responsible for ensuring continuous production flow by relieving bottlenecks within the department, filling in positions as needed, identifying part/resource shortages, finding solutions or notifying Supervisors when solutions are needed, facilitating implementation of Lean Manufacturing processes, and requesting non-personnel related assistance from other departments by completing work orders and requesting engineering and SFA assistance. May be required to do other reasonable manufacturing duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reduce production bottlenecks on the manufacturing product line.
  • Address and correct workflow issues.
  • Learn all positions and fill in as needed.
  • Identify part and resource shortages and provide solutions.
  • Communicate above situations to Supervisors, Engineers, and Managers as appropriate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School graduate or GED and minimal WorkKeys scores for the position.
  • 4+ Years of experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous lead position experience.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to lift between 50 and 100 pounds assisted.
  • Able to learn to work with all hand tools required of all positions within the area, including general work tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, brazing and wiring tools and equipment, forklifts, etc.
  • Able to effectively direct the flow of others.
  • Able to foster teamwork and resolve conflict.
  • Able to work long hours and a variety of shifts as needed.
  • Able to learn and utilize materials tracking system.
ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
  • Work in an environment with temperatures occasionally above 100 degrees or below 32 degrees.
TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED
  • 10% travel may be required when appropriate depending on product line needs.
