Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a Warehouse Support teammate to assist with daily operations, warehouse and transportation tasks, and route coverage as needed.

This full-time role starts on evenings, with a Monday–Friday 10:00 PM shift, paid overtime after 40 hours, and a pay range of $24.00–$26.00 per hour plus shift differential. Duties include parking and fueling trucks, coordinating with staff, and maintaining yard security.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• 1+ year of leadership and transportation experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Assist in parking and fueling vehicles.
• Cover routes when needed.
• Ensure timely delivery by managing trailer cuts.
• Communicate with warehouse staff and management to resolve discrepancies.
• Manage yard and building security.
• Assist in stacking and sorting freight to maintain flow.
• Cover various shifts as required.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Support role assists with daily operations by supporting both warehouse and transportation functions as needed. This position helps ensure efficient workflow by handling packages, assisting with route coverage when needed, parking vehicles, and fueling trucks.

Hours and Wages

• Monday-Friday, 10:00PM Start
• May be expected to cover variable shifts based on business needs
• Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week
• $24.00-26.00 per hour, based on experience, plus shift differential

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to assist in parking/fueling vehicles
• Cover routes when needed
• Ensure trailer cuts are made for timely delivery to branches
• Communicate with warehouse staff and other management to resolve discrepancies
• Manage security of the yard and building
• Assist in stacking and sorting to ensure the flow of freight
• Ability to cover various shifts
• Perform other required duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to operate a manual transmission, or have the willingness to learn
• Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently

Education and Experience

• At least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards
• 1+ year of experience in leadership and transportation industry preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam
• Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight weighing up to 100 pounds
• Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
