Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Support in North Aurora, IL to assist daily operations across warehouse and transportation functions. You will help with package handling, route coverage when needed, parking vehicles, and fueling trucks.

The role requires ability to pass DOT-related requirements and the flexibility to cover variable shifts. Paid overtime applies after 40 hours, with a starting hourly wage of $24.00–$26.00 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Ability to operate a vehicle with manual transmission or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist in parking and fueling vehicles.
• Cover routes when needed to support operations.
• Ensure trailer cuts are made for timely delivery to branches.
• Communicate with warehouse staff and management to resolve discrepancies.
• Manage security of the yard and building.
• Assist in stacking and sorting to maintain freight flow.
• Fill in for various shifts as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Support role assists with daily operations by supporting both warehouse and transportation functions as needed. This position helps ensure efficient workflow by handling packages, assisting with route coverage when needed, parking vehicles, and fueling trucks.

Hours and Wages

• Monday-Friday, 1:00PM start


• May be expected to cover variable shifts based on business needs


• Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week


• $24.00-26.00 per hour, based on experience, plus shift differential

Duties And Responsibilities

• Ability to assist in parking/fueling vehicles


• Cover routes when needed


• Ensure trailer cuts are made for timely delivery to branches


• Communicate with warehouse staff and other management to resolve discrepancies


• Manage security of the yard and building


• Assist in stacking and sorting to ensure the flow of freight


• Ability to cover various shifts


• Perform other required duties as assigned

Skills And Abilities

• Ability to operate a manual transmission, or have the willingness to learn


• Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently

Education And Experience

• At least 21 years of age


• High school diploma or equivalent preferred


• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards


• 1+ year of experience in leadership and transportation industry preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam


• Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight weighing up to 100 pounds


• Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
