We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor / Shipping Coordinator to help lead our warehouse operations and ensure that customer orders are fulfilled accurately, safely, and on schedule.
Position Overview
This is a working supervisory position ideal for someone who enjoys being actively involved in daily warehouse operations while providing leadership and direction to warehouse personnel.
The successful candidate will oversee order picking, packing, shipping, receiving, inventory movement, and general warehouse organization. A significant part of this role involves coordinating daily shipments with parcel and freight carriers, ensuring accurate shipping documentation, and resolving logistical issues as they arise.
We are looking for someone who leads by example, takes ownership of warehouse operations, and understands the importance of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Supervision & Daily Operations

- Establish daily work priorities to ensure customer orders are processed and shipped on time.
- Work alongside warehouse employees when needed to meet operational demands.
- Monitor employee productivity, accuracy, safety, and adherence to company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, efficient, and safe warehouse environment.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse workflows, reduce errors, and increase productivity.
- Assist with training, coaching, and development of warehouse team members.
Shipping & Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate daily outbound shipments utilizing UPS, FedEx, LTL freight carriers, and other transportation providers.
- Prepare and verify shipping labels, bills of lading (BOLs), packing lists, and other required documentation.
- Schedule freight pickups and coordinate carrier arrivals to meet daily shipping deadlines.
- Ensure products are properly packaged, palletized, secured, and protected against transit damage.
- Monitor shipping activity and resolve carrier delays, missed pickups, shipment discrepancies, and freight-related issues.
- Coordinate shipments of oversized, heavy, fragile, and high-value products requiring specialized handling.
- Work with customer service and sales personnel to resolve shipping questions and ensure customer satisfaction.
Inventory Control & Receiving
- Oversee incoming deliveries, product inspections, receiving documentation, and inventory placement.
- Verify quantities and product information against purchase orders and receiving records.
- Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded in company systems.
- Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory, and investigation of inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain organized inventory locations and proper product identification.
- Minimize product damage, shipping errors, and inventory shrinkage.
Communication & Accountability
- Communicate daily with management, purchasing, sales, and customer service teams regarding order status, inventory issues, and shipping requirements.
- Proactively identify operational problems and recommend practical solutions.
- Maintain accountability for order accuracy, timely shipping, and warehouse productivity.
- Help establish and maintain consistent procedures that support continued company growth.
Qualifications Required
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse, distribution, shipping, or logistics experience.
- Previous experience supervising or leading warehouse employees.
- Working knowledge of parcel shipping and LTL freight procedures.
- Experience preparing shipping documentation, including bills of lading.
- Familiarity with warehouse inventory control, receiving, and order fulfillment processes.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other common warehouse equipment safely.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience working with inventory or order management systems.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
