Job description

EFC International is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead our warehouse receiving and inventory control operations and team. This role is responsible for overseeing all inbound warehouse operations, including receiving, product putaway, and inventory control functions. This role is responsible for ensuring materials are received accurately, processed efficiently, stored correctly, and maintained within inventory systems to support reliable downstream fulfillment, shipping, and customer service operations. Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills are essential. Experience in the construction or fastener industries is a plus.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide daily leadership and direction to the Receiving and Inventory Control teams and their Leads.
  • Oversee inbound receipt of incoming shipments, including verification of quantities, condition, and documentation against purchase orders.
  • Manage putaway execution to ensure products are stored in correct locations promptly and accurately.
  • Own inventory accuracy: drive cycle count execution, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and support root-cause corrections.
  • Coordinate inbound dock scheduling and appointments with carriers and communicate delays or receiving issues to the Warehouse Manager and affected downstream teams.
  • Partner with Purchasing/Logistics on receiving discrepancies, damaged goods, vendor compliance issues, and short/over shipments.
  • Support inventory control systems and processes (location integrity, lot/serial tracking where applicable, cycle count scheduling).
  • Ensure warehouse work is completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards.
  • Manage daily floor coverage, including call-ins, absences, workload balancing, and shifting resources as needed.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for employee questions, operational issues, and work prioritization.
  • Review and manage employee timecards, attendance items, and related daily labor tracking responsibilities.
  • Conduct regular floor walkthroughs to monitor productivity, safety, quality, housekeeping, and adherence to processes.
  • Partner with leads and warehouse employees to remove obstacles and keep work moving.
  • Develop and mentor employees by providing coaching, guidance, and feedback that fosters growth in performance, productivity, safety, quality, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Document and communicate employee performance concerns, attendance issues, and process gaps to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Assist with performance conversations, corrective action preparation, and employee development plans as needed.
  • Help train new and existing employees on warehouse procedures, expectations, systems, and best practices.
  • Support implementation of standard operating procedures and help drive consistency across work areas.
  • Partner with the Warehouse Manager on transition planning, team communication, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain a professional, fair, and consistent leadership approach with all employees.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or operations experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, train, coach, or coordinate the work of others.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes, workflow, safety practices, and productivity expectations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to address employee issues professionally and consistently.
  • Dependable attendance and willingness to support operational needs.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use warehouse systems, timekeeping tools, and reporting resources.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with leaders, peers, and team members.
