Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in warehouse/ops
• Experience operating forklifts is required
• Hands-on leader able to perform operational duties while guiding a team
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and people-management skills
• Strong focus on safety, process improvement, and compliance with FDA/OSHA/DOT

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse personnel and workflows to meet production and service goals
• Support trailer movements and floor operations
• Develop/implement shipping and receiving schedules and labor assignments
• Lead daily pre-shift meetings communicating productivity goals and safety updates
• Provide hands-on floor support including yard operations and customer service
• Train, coach, and conduct performance reviews to build team talent
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment in line with FDA/OSHA/DOT standards
• Draft daily end-of-shift reports and coordinate equipment maintenance

Our clients are seeking a dynamic, first-shift Warehouse Operations Supervisor in a food grade environment. This is a working supervisor role for a leader who thrives on the floor, balancing personnel management with active operational support.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervising daily warehouse personnel and workflows to achieve production and service goals
• Support trailer movements and floor operations
• Developing and implementing shipping/receiving schedules and labor assignments
• Leading daily pre-shift meetings to communicate productivity goals and safety updates
• Providing hands-on support in all areas, including yard operations and customer service
• Conducting employee training, coaching, and performance reviews to develop team talent
• Ensuring a safe, clean work environment in full compliance with FDA, OSHA and DOT standards
• Drafting daily end-of-shift reports and coordinating equipment maintenance

Requirements

• 5+ years of supervisory experience
• Previous experience operating forklifts
• Proven ability to perform hands-on operational duties while leading a team
• Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office

• Physical ability to stand/walk for 10–12 hours and lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on process improvement and safety metrics
• Experience in food grade environment preferred
