Job summary

Americold in Columbus, OH is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee a shift-based team, coordinating receiving, warehousing, and shipping to meet service and cost goals. You will manage staffing, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvements.

You will supervise unloading, verify inbound/outbound accuracy, conduct shift meetings, and ensure equipment safety while maintaining a clean, compliant work area. A high school diploma or higher and MS Office proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or warehouse experience or completion of Americold's internship program.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments, stacking of products, and picking and staging of outbound shipments.
• Ensure accuracy and condition of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Facilitate cross communication between shifts and conduct shift meetings.
• Oversee safe operation of materials handling equipment and maintain a clean, secure work area.
• Ensure staff compliance with safety policies, investigate and report safety incidents, and follow OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Direct work schedules, assign duties, and evaluate employee performance, including records and reports.
• Address personnel issues, assess training needs, and collaborate with staff and management to resolve problems.
