Job summary

HP Hood is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead all aspects of the warehouse operation on a hands-on basis. The role requires guiding shifts, managing inventory, and ensuring timely execution of tasks while upholding safety and GMP standards.

The position supports a 5:00pm–5:30am rotating schedule (2-2-3) and requires collaboration with production, customer service and distribution to meet external order fulfillment needs. SAP experience is a plus and basic math/computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-5 years in a leadership role in a Warehouse department or similar.
• ERP/SAP experience desirable.
• Experience with just-in-time manufacturing preferred.
• Basic computer and math skills required.
• Ability to work independently and coach others.

Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse personnel; handle scheduling, motivation, training, evaluations and attendance.
• Oversee inventory management, start meetings, housekeeping and error resolution.
• Promote and enforce safety programs; identify and mitigate risks.
• Assist with accident investigations and ensure GMP compliance.
• Coordinate with production, customer service and distribution to meet on-time delivery.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction with loads accuracy and timely deliveries.
• Oversee daily goals/schedules and maintain open communication with managers and staff.
• Process weekly payroll.
• Be flexible with shifts and support overtime as needed.

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor is a hands-on position. This position is expected to lead by example and is responsible for all aspects of the warehouse operation. The Warehouse Supervisor must be familiar with all positions in the warehouse to help out when necessary to ensure that the shift runs smoothly and all work is completed efficiently and on time.

Work Schedule: 5:00pm to 5:30am (Rotating 2-2-3 Schedule)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide all aspects of leadership for warehouse Personnel responsibilities include, but are not limited to: shift scheduling, maintaining employee motivation and morale, training, conflict resolution, performance evaluations, attendance monitoring and disciplinary action where appropriate.
• Operational responsibilities include, but are not limited to: inventory management, shift start meetings, warehouse housekeeping, research/resolve shipping errors and implement corrective actions.
• Lead the team in all aspects of promoting the Company safety program immediately identifying and eliminating risks to drive safe working habits and behaviors.
• Assist with accident investigations as needed
• Ensure full compliance with all OSHA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
• Work jointly with production, customer service, and distribution to ensure external customer order fulfillment requirements are met accurately and on time.
• Maintain solid customer satisfaction levels relating to quality, accuracy of loads and on-time delivery, while ensuring the highest level of operational efficiencies.
• Maintain an open dialogue and communicate effectively with Manager, shift lead person, and employees to ensure that work in warehouse is completed efficiently, on time, and with a minimum of errors.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma – College Degree Preferred
• 2-5 years’ experience in a leadership role within a Warehouse Department or related area
• ERP(SAP) experience is desirable
• Experience with “just in time” manufacturing preferred
• Basic computer skills essential
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work independently and to positively coach
