Warehouse Supervisor - Middlesex County Utilities Authority (MCUA).

Position Summary: The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations, supervises staff, and ensures efficient inventory, shipping, storage, procurement, and order fulfillment. The position is responsible for maintaining productivity, accurate inventory, and compliance with safety standards.

• Maintain computerized inventory records for receipt, storage, and disbursement of materials.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve incorrect or damaged shipments.
• Requisition parts and supplies and maintain adequate stock levels by forecasting departmental needs, preventive maintenance requirements, seasonal demand, and inventory trends.
• Organize warehouse and yard storage and operate equipment to receive, move, and store materials.
• Recommend efficient warehouse and yard layouts based on turnover, size, weight, and other factors.
• Inspect received or repaired stock for compliance with specifications.
• Conduct routine cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
• Coordinate pick lists with Department Supervisors for preventive maintenance.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, aerial lifts, boom trucks, front-end loaders, and other heavy equipment.
• Maintain computerized material requisition files and coordinate with Finance.
• Enforce applicable safety and health policies and procedures.

Supervisory & Qualification Requirements: Supervise, train, assign, and evaluate employees; address performance issues and resolve workplace concerns in accordance with Authority policies and applicable laws.

Required: High School Diploma/GED and five years of related warehouse experience, including two years in a supervisory role; experience with a CMMS; project management and organizational skills; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should have strong communication, mathematical, analytical, organizational, and employee-relations skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and related applications; and the ability to work effectively with employees, management, vendors, and consultants.

Licenses/Certifications: Valid state driver’s license and ability to meet Authority insurance requirements; Forklift Certification required.

Physical & Work Environment: Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and manual dexterity are required. Must regularly lift up to 10 lbs., frequently lift up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift 75+ lbs. Work includes outdoor conditions, uneven terrain, and occasional exposure to fumes, odors, airborne particles, and industrial chemicals. Required PPE must be worn.
