Job summary

ScottsMiracle-Gro in Marysville, OH is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead the Marysville Distribution Center’s shift operations, coordinate loading/unloading and ensure timely, cost-effective distribution of materials and finished goods.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years in warehouse supervision, SAP experience preferred, and strong leadership and communication skills. Weekend availability may be required during peak season.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related study preferred.
• At least 5 years experience in warehouse supervision or supervision in a production environment.
• Basic understanding of distribution, transportation, inventory control, and freight routing.
• Computer skills including, but not limited to, Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
• Strong leadership skills and a highly effective communicator with great time management.
• Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and/or hours within a seasonal business, including weekends during busy season.
• Strong administrative and planning skills.
• SAP experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations within the Marysville Distribution Center.
• Ensure the customer shipping schedule is obtained and review the shifts and lend help as needed.
• Direct our distribution associates to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance.
• Work with the packaging department to produce quality products and maintain 100% packaging uptime.
• Utilize SAP to monitor inventory and quality; make adjustments when required.
• Train and develop associates in surge and loading procedures and customer requirements.
• Train and enforce Scotts Miracle-Gro policies and procedures.
• Ensure a safe and compliant work area.
• Monitor and order services or supplies as needed.
• Manage overtime requirements balanced by the budget.
• Work with the returns coordinator on processing returned products.
• Set and maintain high standards of housekeeping.
