About the job Warehouse Supervisor - Japanese / Chinese / Korean Bilingual
The Warehouse Supervisor in this job performs overall supervision work in the warehouse and also provides a range of general and specific warehouse tasks such as staging, loading, unloading, stock, and receiving. This position serves as the most experienced / skilled warehouse worker and is usually tasked to supervise the warehouse workers / drivers and is responsible for the daily activity of stocking, receiving, checker, assembler, freezer, deli, or shipping section.
Qualifications
- Pre-employment Drug testing is required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer
- Must have a proven record of effective management.
- AA degree or equivalent years of distribution management experience.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in warehousing or in supervising hourly production / warehouse employees and processes.
- Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack is training and certificate.
Essential Job Functions
Fills in for Logistic Manager / Assistant Logistics Manager as necessary.Supervise and train employees to work in the warehouse either as laborers, equipment operators, product handlers, drivers, clerks, or inventory control personnelUnder the direction of a manager, lead a group of associates to complete assigned duties and tasks.Assign workers to accurately assemble all customers orders and ship within a specified timeframe.Assign workers to receive, count, stock, replenish, and manage merchandise.Coordinates the loading and dispatching of all routes.
Arrange to deliver merchandise to customers and contact sales personnel and / or customer for any delivery schedule adjustments.Communicates with inbound and outbound freight companies including common carriers.Assist in establishing operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposing of merchandise, and keeping accurate warehouse inventory.Perform other related duties as assigned.Spend long hours standing, bending, twisting, walking, stretching, lifting materials and products up to 50 pounds, and carrying smaller items.Spend time in the refrigerated (Deli and Freezer) section of the warehouse.The typical workweek is Monday through Friday (standard 40 hours per week); however, evening, night shift, overtime, and weekend hours are common in some branch offices.Benefits
