Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor II to coordinate ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying and shipping. You will also oversee supplies, tools and equipment in the warehouse and on the sales floor.

Lead staff, conduct monthly meetings, manage expenses, and ensure safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year supervisory or management experience.
• 2 years warehouse experience.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record preferred.
• PC skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and Access preferred.
• Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours.

Responsibilities

• Monitor workload priorities and direct movement of products to meet customer needs.
• Coach, train, hire and support staff; provide feedback; hold staff accountable.
• Develop agendas, conduct monthly staff meetings, control expenses and turnover.
• Apply attendance policy to scheduled training events and shifts.
• Ensure machines/equipment are used properly and safe.
• Perform duties of supervised staff to meet deadlines when short-staffed.

Pay Range: $57,566 - 71,382 annually

The scheduled hours for this role are Mondays and Tuesdays from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Fridays through Sundays from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with Wednesdays and Thursdays off.

Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle

NFM’s Warehouse Supervisor II will coordinate with staff to accomplish ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, displaying and shipping. This person will also be responsible for supplies, tools, equipment and parts in the warehouse and/or sales floor.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

• Monitor: Understand workload priorities and direct movement of all products to meet customer needs
• Manage: Coach, train, hire and support staff. Provide regular feedback and recognition. Hold staff accountable for fulfilling their key responsibilities and goals satisfactorily
• Plan: Develop agendas, conduct monthly staff meetings, control expenses/turnover and meet goals
• Punctuality: Apply the attendance policy to scheduled training events just as it is applied to regular work schedules
• Safety: Ensure machines/equipment are properly utilized and immediately correct inappropriate operating behaviors
• Teamwork: Perform duties of supervised staff to assist in meeting deadlines and/or to fill in when short staffed
