Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor II to coordinate with staff in ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, displaying and shipping. You will also oversee supplies, tools, equipment and parts in the warehouse and/or sales floor.

Responsibilities include monitoring workloads, coaching staff, planning agendas, enforcing attendance policies, and ensuring safe operation of machines and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year supervisory or management experience.
• 2 years' warehouse experience.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record preferred.
• Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
• Pre-employment screening includes background check.

Responsibilities

• Monitor workload priorities and direct movement of all products to meet customer needs.
• Coach, train, hire and support staff; provide regular feedback and recognition; hold staff accountable for duties and goals.
• Develop agendas, conduct monthly staff meetings, control expenses/turnover and meet goals.
• Apply the attendance policy to scheduled training events as to regular work schedules.
• Ensure machines/equipment are properly utilized and correct unsafe practices.
• Perform duties of supervised staff to assist in meeting deadlines and cover shifts when short staffed.
