Job summary

Gloucester Terminals LLC is seeking a Warehouse Lead Supervisor in Gloucester City, NJ to oversee laborers and supervisors and manage front-line warehouse operations. The role reports to the Warehouse Manager and focuses on training, planning, directing work, and evaluating performance.

Responsibilities include coordinating order picking, packing, shipping, and daily scheduling while maintaining safety and quality standards in a refrigerated environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of warehouse supervisor experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Basic understanding of computer programs, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and capacity to develop productive business relationships.

• Serve as a liaison between the office staff, drivers, customers, and warehouse personnel to ensure process efficiency.

• Monitor employee work performance for accuracy, neatness, and adherence to policies and procedures.

The Gloucester Marine Terminal is operated by Gloucester Terminals LLC and offers stevedoring and break bulk services. The terminal, located in the Port of Philadelphia has direct access to highways as well as three rail lines that transit across the United States and Canada, providing unrivaled turnaround times for our partners.

The Warehouse Lead Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of both the laborers and supervisors, as well as the management of all front-line warehouse operations. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising and reporting performance; and ensuring adherence to company standards and regulations. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Work Conditions

This position is in a refrigerated warehouse facility and involves exposure to widely varying temperature ranges, as well as all environmental weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.). Additionally, extended periods of walking and/or standing are required.
