Job summary

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and monitor warehouse and inventory workload.
• Perform physical inventory counts and research.
• Verify materials against receiving and inventory documentation.
• Identify, document, and report discrepancies and damaged material.
• Route, store, stack, palletize, and rearrange material in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform Pick, Stow, Relabeling, and other warehouse operations.
• Examine stored material and report deterioration or damage.
• Remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment.
• Use WMS, DSS, and other Government systems.
• Resolve common system and operational errors in accordance with established procedures.
• Participate in daily workload planning meetings.
• Support mock audits and targeted inventory remediation.
• Ensure team members follow applicable SOPs, safety requirements, quality standards, and Government procedures.
• Coordinate with the Supply Systems Analyst and Government TPOC.
• Travel with the assigned team to other DLA Distribution locations as required.

Overview

Olgoonik is seeking experienced Warehouse Specialist Supervisor to lead deployable inventory support teams operating throughout the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution network.

The Warehouse Specialist Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, planning, coordination, and execution of warehouse and inventory activities performed by an assigned team. The Supervisor will work directly with Warehouse Specialists to accomplish inventory counts, warehouse actions, material movement, and audit-support requirements.

This is a deployable position. Employees will have an assigned home station but must be prepared to deploy for up to two weeks at a time to other DLA Distribution Centers throughout the United States and overseas.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and monitor warehouse and inventory workload.

• Verify materials against receiving and inventory documentation.

Education And/or Experience

• Previous team lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Demonstrated warehouse, inventory, logistics, or distribution experience.
• Working knowledge of warehouse storage plans and inventory procedures.
• Experience using WMS, DSS, SAP, or similar warehouse management systems preferred .

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to operate or qualify to operate material handling equipment as required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Active U.S. passport required and must remain valid throughout employment.
• Must be willing and able to deploy for up to two weeks at a time to DLA Distribution Centers throughout the CONUS and OCONUS.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required installation access and Government system credentials.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Must successfully complete required inventory, WMS, mock audit, MHE, safety, and security training.

Security Clearance

SECRET Level Required

• Must have a current US Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance or be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered Investigation.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must have an Active Passport
• Must also be able to maintain a US Government SECRET clearance.

Work Environment

Deployment is an essential function of this position. Employees may be required to temporarily deploy from their assigned home station to other DLA Distribution Centers based on mission requirements.

Potential deployment locations include DLA Distribution facilities throughout the United States and overseas, including Europe/Germany, Guam, Korea, Japan, and Sigonella, Italy.

Must be comfortable with temporary travel, working in unfamiliar facilities, adapting quickly to different operational environments, and supporting high-priority inventory and audit missions.
