Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, distribution, inventory control, and order fulfillment at our Troy, Michigan facility.

This is a working supervisor position for someone who can lead warehouse employees, manage workflow, operate forklifts, solve problems, and maintain high standards for safety, productivity, and inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate is a dependable leader who takes ownership of daily operations and works alongside the team when needed.

Responsibilities

The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee warehouse employees, assign work, monitor productivity, train staff, and address performance issues. Responsibilities include coordinating shipping and receiving, picking, packing, order fulfillment, loading and unloading trucks, and material handling.

The supervisor will maintain inventory accuracy, investigate discrepancies, enforce safety procedures, and keep the warehouse clean and organized. This role also involves operating forklifts, resolving staffing and workflow problems, meeting shipping deadlines, and working with management to improve warehouse efficiency and operating procedures.

Qualifications

Candidates must have at least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in any industry and 2 years of hands-on warehouse, distribution, logistics, shipping and receiving, or material-handling experience. These requirements may be met through separate jobs.

Forklift operating experience and basic computer skills for inventory tracking, data entry, and reporting are required. Forklift certification is preferred. Candidates must be able to lead employees, solve problems, hold team members accountable, lift up to 50 pounds, and remain active throughout the workday.

Relevant experience includes Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Lead, Distribution Supervisor, Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, Logistics Supervisor, Inventory Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, or Material Handler with leadership responsibilities.

Salary and Benefits

The annual salary is $70,000–$75,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance after 90 days, a 401(k) with company match after one year, and tuition assistance after 90 days.

This full-time position offers a predictable Monday–Friday schedule, a clean and organized warehouse, and the opportunity to build a long-term career. Additional hours are paid at straight-time rates, subject to applicable wage-and-hour requirements. There are no attendance bonuses or complicated incentive programs.
