Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California's Canoga Park ARC Distribution Center is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead, coach, and train warehouse associates and beneficiaries, ensuring production goals are met and safety standards are observed.

You will supervise pricing, quality control, and the handling of high-ticket items, including jewelry, while maintaining a clean, organized work area and following ARC policies. This is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to lead, motivate and mentor teams of warehouse associates and beneficiaries.
• Strong communication, leadership, accountability, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to differentiate quality of donated items.
• Adaptability to supervising and working in various production units.
• Proven track record hitting production goals.
• Experience working with diverse and vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and train all warehouse associates and beneficiaries to reach operation efficiency and achieve production goals.
• Evaluate employee performances and give accurate reviews and clear attainable goals.
• Overall responsibility for production department performance and lead by example.
• Ensure merchandise is priced according to pricing policy.
• Maintain quality control for all materials going to stores.
• Responsible for collection and security of all jewelry and high-ticket items.
• Ensure safe use and maintenance of warehouse supplies and equipment.
• Keep area clean, neat and organized.
• Follow ARC policies and government regulations.
• Supervisor may assign other duties.

As our enthusiastic and hardworking WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Supervise, coach, and train all warehouse associates and beneficiaries to reach operation efficiency and achieve production goals.

Physical Demands

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
• Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.

Schedule

Our Distribution Center operate 6 days per week. Work schedules are determined by Management and employee must be flexible to always ensure adequate coverage. Full-time employees may be scheduled to work any full-time shift including some weekends and holidays.
