Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor at the Canoga Park ARC Distribution Center to lead a dedicated Production Team and support the Adult Rehabilitation Program. You will supervise warehouse associates and beneficiaries, ensure pricing accuracy, and maintain quality control to support safe, efficient operations.

This role emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and the ability to adapt to multiple production units while promoting Do The Most Good in community

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to lead, motivate and mentor teams of warehouse associates and beneficiaries.
• Strong communication, leadership, accountability and follow-through skills.
• Ability to differentiate quality of donated items.
• Adaptability to supervising across production units.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and train all warehouse associates and beneficiaries to reach operation efficiency and meet production goals.
• Evaluate employee performances and provide reviews with clear goals.
• Take overall responsibility for production department performance and lead by example.
• Ensure merchandise is priced according to pricing policy.
• Maintain quality control for materials going to the stores.
• Safely collect and secure jewelry and high-ticket items.
• Ensure safe, proper use and maintenance of warehouse supplies and equipment.
• Keep work area clean, neat and organized.
• Follow ARC policy and government safety regulations.

As our enthusiastic and hardworking WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Supervise, coach, and train all warehouse associates and beneficiaries to reach operation efficiency and achieve production goals.
• Evaluate employee performances and give accurate reviews and clear attainable goals.
• Overall responsibility for production department performance and must show willingness to lead by example.
• Ensure that all merchandise is priced according to pricing policy.
• Ensure that quality control is maintained for all materials going to the stores.
• Responsible for the collection and security of all jewelry and other high-ticket items.
• Ensure the safe, proper use, and maintenance of warehouse supplies and production equipment.
• Keep immediate working area clean, neat and organized.
• Follows safety measures established and maintained by ARC policy and government regulations.
• Your supervisor may assign other written or verbal duties.

Qualifications to be considered for this position:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to lead, motivate and mentor teams of warehouse associates and beneficiaries.
• Consistently demonstrates strong communication, leadership, accountability, and follow-through skills.
• The ability to differentiate quality of donated items.
• Adaptability to supervising and working in various production units.
• Proven track record hitting production goals.
• Previous experience working with diverse and vulnerable populations.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
• Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.

Schedule

Our Distribution Center operate 6 days per week. Work schedules are determined by Management and employee must be flexible to always ensure adequate coverage. Full-time employees may be scheduled to work any full-time shift including some weekends and holidays.
