Job summary

Mission Foods is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for the Mountain Top, PA area to oversee receiving, stocking, order filling and shipping operations. The role emphasizes bilingual communication, safety compliance, and efficient case movement in a food manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years in warehouse operations with supervisory experience, and be able to work a 3rd shift. Strong knowledge of GMPs, OSHA, HACCP, and FIFO is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• College Degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations.
• Preferably in a food manufacturing environment with supervisory experience (2 years) or 4 years as a lead.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Ensure new employees are trained per company policies, safety procedures, and AIB standards.
• Oversee shipping office operations, scheduling, and product receiving.
• Coordinate with Purchasing for local vendor pickups and interplant transfers.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders for needed items.
• Monitor cooler charts and report irregularities to maintenance.
• Ensure correct product rotation and prevention of spoilage.
• Track inventory by code and maintain accuracy.
• Train warehouse staff in safety, GMPs, OSHA, and HACCP requirements.
• Participate in safety, quality, and food safety committees.
• Conduct monthly safety and sanitation trainings for warehouse staff.
• Maintain open communication with Production and Maintenance.
• Perform other duties as required.

Mission Foods is looking for a talented Warehouse Supervisor for its Mountain Top, PA. The ideal candidate will supervise and coordinate the workers engaged in receiving, transporting, stocking, order filling, and shipping.

• Maintains cost per pound for labor used in the warehouse.
• Ensures that all Food service orders are verified by product.
• Ensures that all dates are sent correctly to each customer following all specifications issued to his/her in writing.

Maintains product rotation in accordance with First In-First Out (FIFO)

Ensures ALL trucks leave at their schedule departure time.

Keeps employees informed on factors relating to their work assignment, work progress, and opportunity for advancement.

Monitors workers to ensure that they achieve case movement requirements. Must follow late delivery procedure if late departure is anticipated.

Must Ensure that all GMP’S are follow that pertain to warehouse.

Maintains spoils and damages at a minimum and follow the necessary procedures when they occur.

Conducts accurate inventories by code.

Ensures that warehouse personnel are trained in all aspects of the operation in compliance with OSHA and AIB standards.

Participates as an active member in the safety, quality, and food safety committees.

Performs safety and sanitation audits.

Conducts monthly training sessions on safety and food safety for warehouse employees.

Participates in special safety assignments.

Maintains open and continuous communication with production and maintenance supervisors.

Performs other duties as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School diploma, GED or equivalent required. College Degree preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations required. Preferably within a food manufacturing environment. With 2 years in a supervisory capacity or 4 years as a Lead in a manufacturing environment required. *Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.

Able to perform simple analysis.

Be able to lift, pull and push at least 50 Lbs.

Must have Dispatch Truck Deadline Experience in a Food Service Department.

Effectively communicate in Spanish and English required.

Job Responsibilities

Ensures new employees are trained correctly in accordance with company policies, safety, proper loading of trailers, the organization of warehouse, code dates, and AIB training

Ensures accuracy of the daily operations in the shipping office which include shipping correctly. Making appointments and receiving product

Coordinates with purchasing to pick up product from local vendors or interplant transfers

Order and issue P.O.’s for needed items

Monitoring the cooler charts and report any irregularities to maintenance

Responsible for the proper rotation of product

Inventory stretch film and submit this information to Purchasing twice weekly

Communicate product shortages with Production Scheduler

Work with Total Quality to make determinations on returned product

Monitor the production area to be sure product is being moved in a timely manner

Follow all safety guidelines and safety policies including LOTO policy.

Follow all GMP’s

Attend Safety and Quality training as required

Responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance including HACCP program and AIB gold standards.
