Job summary

Saputo Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for a new 300,000 sq ft facility in Wisconsin. You will supervise shipping, receiving, inventory, and sanitation, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

You will lead a team, provide training, manage staffing, and partner with Quality, Maintenance, and Transportation to meet KPIs and continuous improvement goals. Experience in WMS and SAP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a distribution center, warehouse or supply chain setting.
• familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Lift truck certification or ability to obtain certification (Powered Industrial Trucks).
• Prior experience with WMS systems; SAP familiarity preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Able to lead through change and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and related computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all aspects of warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory and sanitation.
• Provide training and direction to warehouse staff with focus on development and retention.
• Ensure timely and accurate transactions for receipts, shipments, and inventory; monitor customer claims.
• Plan and direct distribution center activities for assigned shift and ensure proper staffing.
• Aim for KPIs: inventory accuracy, on-time shipments, fill rate, and space utilization.
• Coach teams to improve performance and maintain safety and compliance.
• Support cross-functional projects and drive efficiency improvements.

The Warehouse Supervisor is a key member of the leadership team for a brand new 300,000 square foot facility. In this role, you will directly supervise and coordinate all activities within the distribution center to achieve expected results. Key responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work; employee scheduling, performance, training, recruiting and retention; sanitation, quality, safety, and environmental activities.

The Warehouse Supervisor will work closely with the cross-functional teams, including Quality, Safety, Maintenance, Transportation, and Resupply, fulfilling all responsibilities in an organized and safe manner and in accordance with the company’s policies, OSHA, and regulatory requirements.

Regular shift hours: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Sunday PM through Friday AM (Supervisors are required to report for duty 30 minutes before to the start of their shift and remain on duty for 30 minutes after the end of their shift.)

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter…

• Supervises all aspects of warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory and sanitation.

• Provides guidance, training and direction to warehouse support staff with a focus on development, succession and growth opportunities.

• Responsible for timely and accurate systematic transactions, including receipts, shipments, inventory and customer claims. Supervises overall accuracy throughout the distribution center activities, with emphasis on customer’s expectations; claims, returns and compliance fees.

• Plans, directs and coordinates distribution center activities within assigned shift and department. Ensures proper staffing and shift coverage along with proper shift handoff and collaboration.

• Responsible for achieving warehouse related KPIs, including inventory accuracy, on-time shipments, fill rate, order quality and accuracy, product rotation, traceability, warehouse and equipment utilization, warehouse efficiencies and compliance. Identifies process improvements and cost savings opportunities.

• Develops and coaches warehousing teams’ collective and individual capabilities, through proactively supporting recruiting, retention, training, communications, and performance management practices.

• Supports and drives safety performance, including employee, building and food safety programs, training and initiatives. Adheres to company’s policies and procedures while supporting Saputo’s values and ensuring compliance.

• Supports operational efficiency goals and objectives. Participates in cross-functional projects as needed. Supportschange and ensures sustainment.

You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have the Following Experiences, Skills, and Qualification…

• Have a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a distribution center, warehouse or supply chain workplace capacity. Health and Safety, and Workers Compensation compliance experience is preferred.

• Are familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices.

• Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain a lift truck certification (Powered Industrial Trucks).

• Prior experience with WMS system. SAP operations system knowledge preferred.

• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Can adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to successfully lead others through change.

• Can handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Are highly organized with an ability to prioritize and pay attention to the details.

• Are a team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.

• Are adept at selecting, coaching, developing, engaging, and retaining a team of employees.

• Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, computer-based applications and have WMS systems experience. Having SAP experience is preferred.

Salary range: $73,000 - $83,000

Salary offers may be commensurate with experience, skills, education, and training.
