Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is hiring for a warehouse operator in Wisconsin. You will inspect trailers, load and unload with RF scanners, and verify paperwork with QA and inventory teams.

You will receive, store, and pick products, ensuring accuracy and safety throughout every step of the process. You must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, work nights, and operate material handling equipment in a cold warehouse environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer inspections and ensure securing of trailers; check temperature requirements and food safety compliance.
• Load/unload product using RF scanners; verify paperwork and coordinate with supervisor, QA, and inventory control.
• Receive product from PO or stock transfers; ensure accurate counts, codes, dates, pallet counts, and damages.
• Ensure quality of outbound shipments; proper weight distribution and accuracy.
• Put away received product, replenish pick locations, and pick full pallets for orders.
• Complete daily powered industrial truck inspections; report concerns to maintenance or supervisor.
• Follow GMP, Saputo food safety, quality programs, and regulatory requirements.
• Report potential hazards to management; attend required trainings and meetings.

How you will make contributions that matter:

• Performs trailer inspections for all inbound and outbound orders, ensuring that all trailers are properly secured before entering, temperature requirements are met, including food safety and quality regulations.
• Responsible for loading and unloading of product through use of Radio Frequency scanners; accuracy, completeness of paperwork, and closely working with shift supervisor, quality control and inventory control to address any discrepancies or issues with each load.
• Correctly receives product from incoming purchase orders or intra company stock transfers, ensuring correct case counts, code date, pallet count and condition, and recording of any damages resulting from transit.
• Responsible for the overall quality of outbound shipments, correct weight distribution within trailers, accuracy and compliance.
• Put-away of received product into storage location, replenishment of pick locations and full pallet picking for customer orders.
• Completes daily Powered Industrial Truck Inspection, ensuring safe operation and reporting any concerns to maintenance personnel or shift supervisor.
• Understands and follows Good Manufacturing Practices, Saputo's food safety, quality programs and regulatory requirements.
• Promptly reports all potential quality, food safety, and workplace safety hazards to management team.
• Attends and participates in all required training, shift meetings and committees.

• Are able to meet physical demands required for the position (stand, walk, bend, stoop and climb; able to lift up to 75 pounds).
• Able to work in cold environments and around moving equipment; good visual acuity with ability to distinguish colors
• Able to operate material handling equipment

Position Abilities and Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in warehouse environment which includes but is not limited to noise, cold temperatures, standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around material handling equipment consistently throughout the shift.
• Physical lifting up to 75-lbs unassisted frequently throughout the shift.
• Wearing personal protective equipment and following all established procedures.
• Good visual acuity with the ability to distinguish colors. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Fine manipulation and hand dexterity, including ability to grip and squeeze; handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to work overtime on a daily and/or weekly basis.
