Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to lead warehouse activities, coordinate outbound and dock operations, and work with cross-functional teams to meet customer schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 2-year degree preferred in supply chain or inventory control.
• Two years in a lead warehouse role in a warehouse, logistics, transportation, or distribution center environment.
• Advanced computer skills with word processing, spreadsheets and inventory software; SAP a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret orders, inventory reports and procedures; generate reports.
• Strong organization, prioritization and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the warehouse management team to execute activities per customer schedules.
• Monitor the shipping cockpit and dock activities and reprioritize tasks to meet on-time goals.
• Perform warehouse team lead responsibilities: coordinate, assign work, report, and follow-up.
• Create and release outbound orders; manage picking, pallet picking, and order sequencing.
• Create STOs to move products between warehouse locations; coordinate put-away and replenishment tasks.
• Assist with inventory control and resolve discrepancies.

The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for warehouse activities that include inbound, internal, and outbound warehouse processes. Warehouse coordinator will complete, lead, and monitor completion of all warehouse tasks under direction of the Department Manager and in conjunction with shift supervisor, Inventory Control, Quality, Transportation and Customer Service.

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter:

• Partner closely with the warehouse management team to ensure warehouse activities are effectively executed, based on customer expectations and schedules.
• Monitor and coordinate the shipping cockpit and dock activities, reprioritize tasks as necessary to meet on time goals.
• Perform warehouse team lead responsibilities, to include coordinating, assigning work activities, reporting and follow-up.
• Create and release outbound orders and manage picking tasks, including case picking and full pallet picking, outbound order sequencing per each shipment and the overall dock flow.
• Assign staging areas for outbound and dock doors for inbound loads based on physical product placement, pick path and load complexity.
• Investigate product shortages and reprocess orders as needed to ensure fill rates are met and there are no warehouse-controlled shortages.
• Create STOs (Stock Transfer Orders) to move products between warehouse locations as needed.
• Create and coordinate product put away activities.
• Create and coordinate replenishment tasks to ensure adequate stock in pick faces and minimal downtime.
• Assist with inventory control activities, including creating, assigning, and completing inventory control tasks, identifying, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies resulting from the use of exception codes.
• Work directly with carriers, internal transportation, quality, supply planning and customer service to meet established fill rate, schedules and customer expectations.
• Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo values.
• Work together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel.
• Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have The Following Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Preferred, 2-year degree in supply chain management or inventory control management.
• Two-years in a lead warehouse role, directly in a warehouse, logistics, transportation, or distribution center environment.
• Excellent computer skills with advanced experience with word processing, spreadsheet applications and specialized inventory control software programs (WMS), SAP a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer orders, inventory reports, operating procedures to ensuredocuments are audited and accurate. Ability to generate reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Are highly organized and efficient.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written.
• Work together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel.
• Must have excellent mathematical skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.

Position Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in manufacturing environment which includes but not limited to: noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment consistently throughout the shift.
• Physical lifting up to 40-lbs unassisted frequently throughout the shift.
• Working with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment, and following approved chemical handling procedures.
• Good visual acuity with the ability to distinguish colors. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Fine manipulation and hand dexterity, including ability to grip and squeeze; handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), to include bump cap, hearing, and eye protection. This also include additional PPE requirements as defined for the position activities.

Starting wage $31.16 + shift differential.
