Kloeckner Metals - Americas is seeking a Supervisor (Warehouse) to oversee loading, material handling, and processing activities. You will lead warehouse staff, ensure safety, and improve productivity on 2nd shift.

The role reports to the Operations Manager and requires strong supervision, organizational, and communication skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in a metals service center environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: Prior supervisory experience is required.
• Experience: 3+ years in warehouse roles in metals/distribution preferred.
• Education: HS diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• Leadership: Strong leadership and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Staff supervision: schedule, supervise, and assign tasks to warehouse staff.
• Operational oversight: ensure timely and accurate completion of activities.
• Recruitment and training: interview, recruit, and train new employees.
• Safety compliance: maintain OSHA-compliant work environment.
• Inventory management: oversee inbound/outbound material records.
• Equipment maintenance: inspect and ensure proper maintenance.
• Reporting: prepare inventory and operation reports.

Job Summary

The Supervisor (Warehouse) oversees warehouse operations, including loading, material handling, and processing activities. This role ensures the efficient functioning of warehouse staff and operations, adhering to safety and productivity standards. The position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

• 2nd Shift Hours: 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., with availability to work overtime as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Staff Supervision: Schedule, supervise, and assign tasks to warehouse staff. Evaluate performance and provide feedback
• Operational Oversight: Ensure timely and accurate completion of warehouse activities, including loading and material handling
• Recruitment and Training: Interview, recruit, and organize on-the-job training for new employees
• Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory records, ensuring accurate tracking of all inbound and outbound materials
• Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment and machinery
• Reporting: Prepare and review inventory and evaluation reports related to warehouse operations
• Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience: Prior supervisory experience is required
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of material processing and warehouse operations
• Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of warehouse experience in the metals service center industry, or completion of a related rotational management training program
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills with experience in web-based management tools and MS Office Suite
• Leadership: Strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal communication skills
• Process Management: Ability to manage processes effectively
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills
• Prioritization: Capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Industry Experience: Experience in the metals processing/distribution industry is advantageous
• Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility
• Reliability: Demonstrated reliable work history
